Igniting a standard Eskabe Gas Heater (MX5, MX8, TB3, TB5)

• Open the main gas valve
• Push in the gas control knob from “Off” to “Pilot” position
• Depress knob and after 5 seconds, push in the ignitor button
• Observe through the view port if the pilot light is lit. If not, repeat the previous step. Keep the control knob depressed for 20-30 seconds before releasing.
• Turn control knob to the desired heat position – “Maximum” or “Minimum”.

• To turn off the heater, turn the control knob to position “Off” and close the main gas valve.

Igniting a Titanium Eskabe Gas Heater (MX8TT, TB3TT, TB5TT)

• Open the main gas valve
• Push in the gas control knob from “Off” and turn it to “Pilot” Position
• Depress the knob and wait for 5 seconds
• Then push in the ignitor button
• Observe through the view port if the pilot light it lit. If not, repeat the previous step
• Keep the control knob depressed for 20 seconds before releasing
• Turn the control knob to the desired TE position

• To turn off the heater, turn the control knob to the position “Off” and close the main gas valve
• Never turn the control knob in positions between “pilot” and TE

Thermostat Knob Operation

This knob must be positioned to the desired ambient temperature. As a reference the usual temperatures for home heating is from 20’C to 24’C.
